Defensive Ignorance
This type of ignorance is what is typically associated with word "ignorance" in our society. It's the type of ignorance where we hide away from uncomfortable truths, we cling to our beliefs, even when those beliefs are not grounded in facts.
When this type of ignorance is in play there is quite often at least a tinge of anger in the mix, due to clash of beliefs and unwillingness to move from the viewpoints of those beliefs.
